Fresh off a $100 million fundraising round, Introhive co-founder and CEO Jody Glidden says he will be doubling down on Miami and making the Magic City one of two global hubs for his company, a fast-growing AI-powered sales and revenue acceleration platform.
Glidden has actually been living in Miami since 2012, although the company was founded in New Brunswick, Canada, and it has 10 offices globally. Now he plans to grow the executive team in Miami, while still keeping a base in Canada.
“We have our Head of People here and we’re bringing the head of finance here, and I’m still working on trying to see if any other of my current executives would be interested in moving here and then we’ll continue to recruit. But this will be the biggest leadership office and our US headquarters,” said Glidden, a 5-time serial entrepreneur who has had three successful exits – Chalk Media, icGlobal and Scholars.com. He first announced the news during one of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez’ Cafecito Talks.
Two weeks ago, Introhive secured $100 million in its Series C funding in a round led by PSG. The company intends to use the growth capital for strategic acquisitions, more global expansion and hiring for its engineering, sales and marketing teams.
Glidden, currently based in Miami’s Midtown, said the company is working with a commercial real estate firm to build out an office for the growing team. While the Miami team is only about a half dozen people now, “we’re going to probably grow to 50 to 100 people within the next year and a half,” he told Refresh Miami. He’s currently actively recruiting for a CFO, among other roles.
Founded in 2012, Introhive is the fastest growing B2B relationship intelligence and data management platform. The company was recently recognized by Deloitte’s Fast 50 and Fast 500 Awards programs and was named the MarTech 2020 Breakthrough Award winner for Best CRM Innovation. In 2020, the platform processed more than 1 trillion transactions, captured more than 60 million contacts and relationships, saved nine million employee hours and supported users across 90 countries.
“What we do is help people sell to their peak potential,” Glidden said. “We help them get 20% of their workday back by automating all the mundane tasks like data entry… and we bring them all of the intelligence that they need in order to be smart for the client. As soon as they go to write an email, as soon as they go to walk into a meeting, all the information they need is right there in front of them.”
Part of the information that Introhive brings to the salespeople, he said, “is the learnings, the AI patterns that the system finds when it’s comparing the best sellers to the, say, less successful sellers.” Then it serves up tips and tricks to get better.
Glidden said it didn’t take him long to fall in love with Miami and he hopes to get more involved in the local community.
“I used to live in San Francisco back in the early 2000s, and the thing I loved about it was you get this amazing tech network but the thing I didn’t like about it was pretty much everything else. Miami had all the everything else. I used to live here, despite the fact that there was no network — and now all of a sudden, the network showed up.”
