Join us for a talk on Tools of the trade: Exploring the Square stack by Alex Rocha, author of the hugely popular Equalizer app.

Alex will delve into new libraries and frameworks that make Android development easier and more efficient; in particular, his experience with the Square stack, a series of 4 libraries (Picasso, Otto, Retrofit and OkHttp). Square stack is open sourced by the company Square that when used, are a tremendous help when developing Android apps. The talk should help both beginners and experts alike.
About the speaker:
With over 6 years of experience developing applications for Android and iOS and having published more than 15 apps to the Google Play Store, Alex is extremely passionate about everything involving mobile technologies. Currently working with Modernizing Medicine (Boca Raton) as a Senior Mobile Developer, Alex has the privilege of working with cutting edge mobile technologies on a day to day basis and applying those to the Health industry, helping both Doctors and Patients improve practices and efficacy at the point of care.
