If you haven’t heard, Blackstone, one of the world’s leading investment firms, is launching a technology hub in Miami!
Blackstone’s move is incredible news for the Miami tech ecosystem, those interested in working in Tech, Wyncode Academy, and various tech partners in South Florida.
This event will include a VIP panel discussion, highlighting why Blackstone’s Technology and Innovations team is expanding to Miami and how they plan to innovate and build their team here.
This panel will include some rockstar tech executives, including: John Stecher, Chief Technology Officer, Adam Fletcher, Chief Information Security Officer, Josh Schertzer, Chief Technology Officer of Enterprise Technology, and Ester McEwan, Senior Vice President –– who will be growing the Blackstone Technology and Innovations team in Miami.
Why is this such huge news for Miami?
- Blackstone is opening a technology office in Miami to expand their growing team in a vibrant market.
- Blackstone has decided to invest near $25 million dollars to bring tech talent and tech jobs to Miami.
- They plan to open a 50,000 square foot office that will be permanently located in either Brickell or Downtown starting in 2022.
- Blackstone is now a Wyncode/Wyntalent Hiring Partner – this means jobs for grads (part of the vast 450+ network of hiring partners that Wyncode Alumni have access to once they graduate.)
It’s no secret that Miami has a great college ecosystem, coding boot camps, growing tech firms, and world class amenities. The news of Blackstone’s move to Miami is one of many high- growth moves by companies to build out their technology presence in recent years.
