This month we have a great talk for anyone thinking of dabbling with CakePHP.

Talk: Bake Your Cake & Eat It Too !

Have you ever baked a cake? Well hmmmm the one that you can’t really eat:) In this talk you’ll learn how to set up a CRUD using CakePHP.

CakePHP is a free, open-source, rapid development framework for PHP. It’s a foundational structure for programmers to create web application.

If you’ve never used a framework and or never baked a cake, this talk is for you! (bake is the CLI tool of CakePHP for code generation)

Speaker:
Patrick Alexander is the creator of WPBICO, an all in one WordPress platform which provides every tool (domain, email, theme, hosting, plugins & training) required for a WP website at one affordable price. As a lover of all things tech, Patrick has devoted himself to the tech industry for over 15 years gaining extensive experience in Programming, Web Development, System Administration and Technician; and a resume with related positions in the U.S military, Universities and several Internet Start Ups. Parking:

Toll parking is available if you wish not to get a ticket or be towed. Parking is in the back on the first floor of PG 6 (Parking Garage 6) or Visitors parking in the RED Garage (PG 5).

Location:

Networking will be in the pavilion on the South East corner of PG 6 outside of Half Moon Empanadas. The rest of the night events will be in room PG6-114 during networking.
