Mark your calendars for May 3, when Miami will have the rare opportunity to hear superstar entrepreneur Marcelo Claure talk about his experiences founding Brightstar, running Sprint, investing in startups for tech conglomerate SoftBank — and of course, soccer. Melissa Krinzman, managing partner of Krillion Ventures, will interview Claure in a fireside chat to keynote the awards ceremony for the Miami Herald Startup Pitch Competition. The awards and keynote begin promptly at 5:30; happy hour (with beer and sodas) and pitch presentations by the competition winners start at 4.
