About the instructor:
Jessica Shraybman focuses her legal practice on business and intellectual property. She is a trusted advisor companies at all stages of the business lifecycle and the individuals behind the scenes. From startup and technology, interactive media, hospitality and retail companies, to nonprofit organizations and creatives, Ms. Shraybman serves as General Counsel to clients across a broad range of industries.
Ms. Shraybman represents clients in regards to their complex business transactions, and has personally overseen a multitude of corporate formations (including structuring and onboarding team members), financings, and acquisitions.
She also manages clients’ Intellectual Property portfolios. She regularly develops and executes programs within her clients’ organizations to ensure protection and proper handling of confidential and sensitive information. She secures branding and inventions through trademarks and patents on an almost daily basis. She often negotiates, drafts, and reviews license agreements, NDAs and Confidentiality agreements, and employment offers. She is a member of the Florida Bar’s Intellectual Property Subcommittee, serves as a member of the IP Board Certification task force, and is currently preparing to sit for the Florida Bar Intellectual Property Board Certification exam.
Ms. Shraybman graduated with honors from the University of Miami (BA, Philosophy and Entrepreneurship) and in the top 20% of her class from Florida International College of Law (JD). She was the first in her family born in the United States and is a native Russian speaker.
