At this meetup event, we will learn how to take real-world business requirements and turn them into a working relational data model.
First, we will have a presentation on basic relational data modeling concepts, such entities, relationships, cardinality, and normalization rules. Then we will have a collaborative discussion where everybody will participate in creating an actual data model for a fictional online bookstore!
The concepts you learn here can easily translate to any real-world data modeling tasks you might come across as a database professional.
