Shaun, Josh, and Chris have been working on bringing you all engaging content, and a better venue for our meetups for a while now. We’re really excited to let you know that we’re finally able to deliver! Instead of our usual meetup this week (the week of the 19th), we’re having a talk at NSU instead.
If you like the idea of this new format, come and show your support! And get ready for a big turn-out!
Oh – and RSVPing will really help us plan out the attendance, so please RSVP if you’re thinking of coming.
Here’s some more details:
South Florida’s “ISSA” (sfissa.org) has monthly meetups at a lecture hall at NSU Davie. This month, the theme is Bitcoin and brought to them by us!
Note the time! It’s a bit earlier than we usually meet. If you can’t make it, no sweat – come to Falcon Pub where we’re hanging out till late.
We’re trying hard to deliver talks that answer your questions and aren’t too much of the standard ‘fluff’. We’re expecting a large turnout, and it’s hard to make everyone happy, but, these talks should offer something for everyone.
For the purposes of Chris’ talk, it would help greatly if you had a moderate understanding of what a ‘hash’ is. Read up on this before you come, but don’t stress out about it if you don’t fully grasp the concept. – Each talk is about 45 minutes, and there are a few issa formalities before and after our talks.
After the talks everyone’s meeting at a nearby bar to hang out and do more personal Q&A’s and meet and greets. The bar is ‘Ye Olde Falcon Pub’ on University, down the street from the Event hall. – The event is FREE. But you will have to pay for parking.
Bring your QR-scanning phone wallet! We’re collecting tips at the end of the talk, and want our members to make a show of how Bitcoin works, from their seats, to the non-bitcoiners around them. The amount of money is inconsequential (25 cents is more than fine) and the money will be used to buy a Jet’s pizza at the next Funky Buddah meetup.
Here’s some details on what’s being discussed:
