We are going to explore the Streaming API from Apache Spark. This include regular streams and structured streams, a new way of SQL aggressions on top of live streams.
We are going to look at the streaming model of computing presented by Spark and see some supporting code and live examples throughout the presentation.
Scala will be used in the examples, but all these can be applied to Java, Python and R.
We are also going to look into the semantics and guarantees of the different streaming models.
